Personal Fitness Training
Depending on your fitness needs,
personal goals and present level of fitness a
balanced program is designed for you with each
of these specifics in mind. Each program
basically consists of a creative blend of
functional training (balance & stability), CORE
training, cardiovascular & strength training
along with flexibility stretching and relaxation
restorative exercises. Programs are then
customized and tailored to "fit"- keeping in
mind pre-existing conditions or injuries,
fun and enjoyment and obtaining the ultimate
goal of a fit healthier you!
BALANCE is KEY- in order to achieve
optimum levels of fitness and overall health
and wellness for a lifetime.
CREATIVITY is the fuel to keep every
client motivated to stay with it for the
rest of their life!
Building a strong foundation for success ...
Corrective Exercise Training is the essential
first step of your training program and usually
takes several sessions for this adaptation to
occur. During this time
we will work to correct any joint
dysfunctions, muscular imbalances and
postural-distortion patterns (which usually
result in aches, pains and discomfort) you may be
experiencing, based on your initial Health and
Fitness Evaluation. In addition, you will
discover how to recognize and understand the
detailed messages your body is sending you, and
how to respond and move in ways that keep your
body healthy, fit and pain-free. By eliminating
your weak points and strengthening your
structural integrity, Corrective Exercise
Training gives you a strong foundation on which
to build your new body. As you become stronger
and more fit through guided, focused training,
your body responds with improved speed, grace,
poise, agility and rhythm. At this new level of
coordination or "Movement Intelligence" --
your body understands how to make all its parts
work together best under all circumstances --
without any conscious thought. This means your
body instantly senses the best way to adapt to
unexpected physical challenges, from everyday
stumbles to surprise tennis serves. It
automatically marshals its resources and energy
to move in ways that help prevent future
injuries and -- when necessary -- to heal itself
efficiently. This foundation is a necessary
block to build upon and layer to achieve your
optimum fitness goal whether it is to loose the
extra pounds gain strength and become overall
healthier or to compete in a triathlon!
Training may done in the privacy of your home
or agreed upon location ( I have travel
equipment to accommodate ) or in the privacy of
my Lake Street home studio in MarVista, CA Training sessions are 60 minutes in length.
